Bonneville Shoreline Trail (North Utah County)
The Bonneville Shoreline Trail is an extremely popular trail running along the upper edge of valley east-side benches. This provides endless gorgeous views and a relatively flat gradient. This list includes north Utah County trailheads, with miles listed to the next trailhead south.
  • Suncrest 2.75 miles If you can find your way through the new construction along the ridge east of Draper, you can pick up the trail there (it may be easier to begin from Corner Canyon, near Jacob's Ladder in in Salt Lake County).

  • Fort Canyon 1.55 miles Highland.

  • Alpine Cove 2.9 miles Alpine.

  • Preston Canyon 1.5 miles

  • American Fork Canyon 1.4 miles

  • Cedar Hills 3.9 miles

  • Grove Creek 1.2 miles Pleasant Grove at the top of 800 N.

  • Battle Creek 2.25 miles Pleasant Grove at the top of 200 S. Head up and south to gain the bench well above any homes and follow any of the higher trails to Dry Canyon.

  • Dry Canyon .75 miles Lindon at the top of Dry Canyon Drive, which climbs from the Lindon/Orem border. Take the main trail that splits immediately from the dirt road to the north, or from the Dry Canyon Trail to the south.

  • Cascade Dr. .65 miles Orem. Cascade Drive climbs steeply east just before the north end of 800 E curves around to become 1600 N. Follow the trail north past the latrine. To continue south, either follow the dirt road east up and into Provo Canyon, or ride down the road to the Murdock Canal Trail (just below the cemetary) to 800 N., then ride the River Trail up the canyon to Bridal Veil Falls.
